Holiday gifts for therapists?
Do you give gift cards or buy them something? How much do you spend? I dont remember what I did for the EI therapists.
DS has speech 4x's a week, ot 2x's a week and now a SEIT 2 hrs a week at nursery school. Not sure what I should give each of them.

My DD is in E.I has 6 therapists
My DS is in school. 1 teacher, a few assistants, PT, OT, and speech.
Definiltey an $$$$ holiday.
The EI therapists will get GCs (small amount).
The teacher will get a GC (maybe $25)
Assistants: Cookie Platter or Bagels
DS' Therapists, either GCs (small amount) or something small.
I LOVE them all and definitley want to show our appreciation.

From a therapist point of view, ANYTHING is appreciated. It is just nice to have your work recognized and appreciated.

From a therapist point of view, ANYTHING is appreciated. It is just nice to have your work recognized and appreciated.
I really like doing something personal for holiday gifts and than at the end I remember giving the EI therapists gift cards.
DS's OT is a young girl in her 20's. Do you think it is in appropriate to give her a personalized hand painted wine glass and a bottle of wine? I dont know what the rules are with gifting liquor for therapists

I know this time of year can get $$$$$ for those of us who have a long list of people who work with our child. This economy and abyssal job market doesn't help
anyway, I digress, good news is I thought of something fun....
Restaurant.com has $50 GC that can be applied to ANY restaurant of the recipients choice for 80% off using the code GOBBLE. That's right $5 for a $50 GC. So that's what I did this year. This way I'm able to get for everyone and it's worth more than what I would've afforded in actual $$

as a teacher i got some weird weird stuff. but mostly bath and body creams and candles, chocolate, a few gift cards, wallets, coffee stuff, some trinkets. gc are very appreciated. i always loved b&n ones bc i purchased more books for my class.
getting anything is thoughtful and so appreciated. especially from homes that have so little.

since DS is in CPSE we have a LOT less people to buy for.
2 teachers - $25 gc

There is aCrumbs cupcake bakery in Woodbury and in Huntington. They will put it in a box but it is extra for the box.

My favorite token of appreciation is a just a simple card saying how much I'm appreciated I also love a photo of the child too! Then I go home and show my husband and say "see how much I'm appreciated at work and look how cute the kids are!!!"

Sounds about the same amount of people for DS this year. 1 teacher and 4 aids, bus driver, bus matron, 3 SEIT at home.
But I keep repeating myself that we are not paying for preschool so we need to show our appreciation.

The recipient goes to restaurant.com, puts in gc # and pics ANY restaurant of their liking.

SEIT: Starbucks GC.
Teacher: Target, Barnes and Nobles or Amex/Visa (not sure yet!!)
Bus driver: DD GC
TA and bus matron: I like the idea of bath products for $10. I will look into that. Otherwise, Target GC for $10
