Holiday pictures for Jewish babies
Do the "chains" have cute props for the Jewish holiday? (like a menorah or dreidel?) Where should I go to get a picture taken for DD's holiday cards?

I don't know about a chanukah picture, but snapfish has the photo chanukah cards that you can put any picture into.

Re: Holiday pictures for Jewish babies
I have seen those at a few places, but I think I want to use a neutral card background with something "Jewish" in the picture. We'll be sending the card to friends who are not Jewish so we don't want the greeting to say Happy Hanukah!
Has anyone seen a menorah or dreidel prop at any of the picture places?

They really SHOULD have them IMO.
Can you call around?
If not, I'd bring a menorah. I might just do this for their holiday pics for DH's side of the family.
It would look cute if they had a dreidel as big as those toy blocks they use for the 1st birthday pics.

Re: Holiday pictures for Jewish babies
this has been such an issue with me! i was going to actually post the same thing tonight. i'm really frustrated on how many absolutly adorable x-mas cards are available out there and how few (if any) hanukkah options are available. and the ones i have seen are so icky!
*sigh* ok vent over...
i called kiddie kandids in college point and asked them and they said they "have a driedel and that menorah thingy".
since there aren't any cute hanukkah cards (and i've looked everywhere), i'm also going to do a neutral card with the dreidel prop. my appointment is on 11/5 with kk, i'll post pics when i get them.

Just called KK at BRU Westbury.. they have no props, but you can buy your picture and have it put into a Hanukkah card there, or bring your own props

If you take your picture yourself which is hard the on line photo places all have chanukah backgrounds. I did that last year

i went to bru and talked to the kiddie kandids place and they said after nov. 1st all kk should have a large dreidel prop and a menorah to use. i also bought this cute white teddy bear with a blue ribbon holding a dreidel from buybuybaby just in case i don't like their props. the bear is a gund.

OK, that's good. We are interfaith but I'll still be holding them to this. We live close by so everytime I'm there, I'll ask and bother them until they finally get one.
They'll probably call me the "crazy dreidel lady"
Oh, if the nuns who taught me saw someone call me "crazy dreidel lady"...
