Holiday shirts for boys-at what age do you stop?
I'm not talking about nice clothing for Easter dinner or anything like that, but graphic tees that say Mom's heart-breaker, lol.
I feel like girls wear holiday shirts for a while but when do you stop with boys? Or do you never buy them anyway?

I have girls, youngest in preK and I'm over anything that's only going to get worn once or twice. She has some things that were her big sister's but that's it and I'm definitely done buying that stuff for my first grader.

I just was on the fence about this too. I've always bought for every holiday from birth. DS is now in K. I put a halloween, thanksgiving, and xmas shirt on him this year so far (school party)... but i was debating on vday. If I had a plain red shirt id just use that. Same with Patty's -- maybe a plain green one? If not, id prob break down and buy the $6 T. Next year i might not get away with it anymore -- he is already telling me what he wants to wear. :(

I still do for my boys the older one's are in 4th and 5th grade - the 5th grader is a little trickier because he likes only certain brand clothes :)

Funny you posted this bc there is NOTHING Valentine's for boys out there. Not that my 4th grader wants to wear it, but on Vday at they're school you wear red and they are also having some American Heart Assoc activity where you do fun activities in the gym and keeping with the "red" theme. I just got a red shirt for my 4th and 2nd grader. St Patty's is out now for shirts. Nothing left for Vday. I don't do holiday stuff too much though, but usually schools have some list or theme.
ETA - I will probably stop at 6th grade when they are in Middle School and not elementary anymore. No more "Theme" shirts. I'm sure they do, but not "cutesy."

Re: Holiday shirts for boys-at what age do you stop?
My son just turned 10 and is in 4th grade. I don't buy for every little holiday, but for major ones, sometimes they have "cooler" ones that are more suited for older kids. For example, on Halloween, he wore a Fortnite shirt with a halloween theme (jack-o-lantern and bat), but it was just black with white graphics.
I wouldn't do "mom's heartbreaker,"but if the kids like wearing festive/holiday themed stuff, I'd just look for more age appropriate stuff.

my oldest is 8, and i still try to get a little bit into it for him. i can usually find ones that a little more "Age appropriate". like on Amazon i just saw a valentines one that says " I'd pause my game for you", with video game controllers... or one with a slice of pizza " Pizza in my valentine"... that kind of thing. still "festive", a little better for an 8 year old than "Mommy's heartbreaker" type stuff..

I only buy for Halloween, Christmas and St Patrick’s Day now, o stopped for Valentines. I did actually find a cute Easter Tee that said Hanging with my Peeps for my almost 7 year old that my 9 year old said he’d wear too.
For Halloween - I get a skeleton or pumpkin shirt. For Christmas I found some Pokémon and Under Armor in the past - this year O found Santa playing basketball with cookies and milk at Old Navy.

I love buying the shirts. My boys however are 7 in 2nd grade. I am not sure they will wear this year. I am trying to find something COOL.

I think I'll do this too and just get a red shirt for v-day.

Re: Holiday shirts for boys-at what age do you stop?
My DS is in the 2nd grade so I still buy him a shirt for Christmas, Halloween and sometimes Valentine's day. I try to buy one that a size larger so het can wear it 2 years in a row. He doesn't want "cute" anymore though. I m feeling that by 4th grade or so he won't want to wear them anymore.

I'd say 4th grade. For my son he will just wear a red shirt ... he is in 4th grade. My daughter is in first grade so I might get her a Valentine's top.
