So Gatsbygirl sent this to me and after I did it and sent to other friends, I thought the LIF moms might like it too.

To get into the holiday spirit!

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
Hot Chocolate. But I like to "dress it up" with some Bailey's or Kahluha

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the
tree?
Depends on the size and the item. Clothing gets wrapped but sometimes something special just has a red bow

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White outside, colored on the tree

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Yes

5. When do you put your decorations up?
I usually wait until the beginning of December, although I swear every year that I will start earlier. The tree doesn't come until mid-December

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding
dessert)?
Sausauge bread

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
Waking up at 3AM one Christmas, very eager to see if Santa had come yet. My brother and I slept on the floor of the den from 3AM until around 7AM, when we knew we could wake up Mom and Dad. The whole time I kept checking the time on the VCR's digital display.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about
Shhh....?
I think I was about eight or nine. I remember "Santa" didn't eat the cookies I left and his handwriting looks A LOT like my mom's. Also my Barbie's price tag said Toys R Us.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
As a child I was always allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. Kris and I open ours on Christmas Eve after the first star.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
We usually get a real tree and decorate it with fake berries, lights, and special ornaments that we received as gifts.

11. Snow, love it or hate it?
I love snow if I don't have to shovel it or drive in it. I really enjoy walking in it.

12. Can you ice skate?
Sort of. Haven't done it in years, though.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I can't remember one gift that stood out. In recent years I have had some nice gifts like a nice handbag or coat that were significant but nothing has earned "favorite" status.

14. What's the most important thing about the holidays
for you?
Being with family and friends. Remembering that the little nice things you do for others really do make a difference.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Cookies

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Baking cookies with my mom. I can't wait til Sabrina can help us.

17. What tops your tree?
A brown haired angel that Kris found for me. Do you know how difficult it is to find a brown-haired angel?

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
I actually LOVE giving. I love the quest for the perfect gift for each person.

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Sleigh Ride, the instrumental version

Eh, I think they are sticky.

We try to do it right after Thanksgiving

usually around the first or maybe 2nd weekof Dec. I dont like to out the tree up too eaely because our living room isnt huge and it takes up a lot of room.

just waking up really early every Christmas with my little sister and opening th ebwdroom door slowly to see if Santa had come and getting all excited at all of the presents under the tree!

we never opened gifts xmas eve, all were opened xmas morning, DH started this tradition with us though where we exchange 1 gift xmas eve....

some years a real tree...some years artificial tree.....we decorate with colored lights, tinsel, candy canes and ornaments.

11. Snow, love it or hate it?
I love snow if I don't have to shovel it or drive in it. I really enjoy walking in it. (same for me)

yes, but Im not that good...

honestly, this is the first xmas both my mom and grandma wont be here so I am not looking fwd to it the way I usually would. But, DD will be a yr and a half and will be able to open her own presents and stuff this year so I look fwd to the smile on her fave when she sees her new toys!

When i was a kid, i would BEGGGGG.. only got to open usually one, sis was older than i and would be over bf house.

This year will be dh and I first tree by selves with DD, we will be doing ornametns and bows and pearls.

I love it, but hate the next day after. messy

Kinda.. fall alot, but lots of fun.

As a child it was the Nintendo..

Spending with my love ones.

Just starting one.. buying a new piece for our village. Last year got a church representing DH and I wedding, this year a Tot Shop represeting birth of Sammie.

An angel my mom and I bought together, she passed away shortly after.

GIVING......I love watching them open. im not a fan of unwraping in front of people..

I like the new ones.. not the permint ones.

Christmas morning when my Grandfather was alive. We would go downstairs fter 9Am and he would cook blueberry pancakes. We would open tons of presents. It was great

We never did. No presents on Christmas Eve. My DH's family opens all presents on Christmas Eve

We have lights onour pretty "fake tree" and ornaments. We haven't used tinsel or garland on our new tree

Hate it! It does look pretty coming down though

I had a few as a child but nothing recently.

I get to see my family. We don't get together that much anymore!

We have our tree in the basement. Our tree is too high and my star hits the ceiling. I love my topper and need to get a higher ceiling!

Not now but we did when I was little.

Lights and ornaments. The rest varies every year...depending on time and $$. I have strung my own popcorn garland. I have purchased babies breath in the past (a dozen bunches) to put in the tree.

Love it but hate to travel in it.

are you kidding...heck no!

I got these beautiful angel earrings from my parents when I was teenager. I just loved them!

Being together with family.

My mom and dad hide a mini stocking on the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Whoever finds it first, gets to keep the $ in it.

We have an old-fashioned Santa wearing an elegant gown-type of attire.

I like both. I enjoy surprises....both giving them and receiving them.

Umm how about both? I love both of them. I would also add that I love mulled cidar and mulled wine too at the holidays.

We put up our tree the day after thanksgiving (we have a fake tree since I am allergic to the real ones)

Sitting on the floor after we handed out our gifts before opening them and being surrounded with walls of gifts almost as high as my head when I sat on the floor.

I can't remember the exact age anymore maybe 7 or 8 (at least before I admitted there wasn't a santa)

No gifts were for Christmas day only in our family

We have a fake tree (b/c of my allergies) and we put on lights and then ornaments - I used to have a very adult looking tree but this year b/c of DD I borrowed a lot of my childhood ornaments to use.

Love snow - it is fun to watch and play in, hate to shovel and the after mess

12. Can you ice skate?
Not too well anymore but I haven't skated in about 6 years - I used to be very good - I took lessons back in 2 and 3rd grade
