Holy back pain..
My sciatica nerve is really giving me some serious back pain. So bad that it's been hard to breathe at times.
Any remedies out there to relieve the pressure?

Hi Suzy, sorry no real advice, if you are in pain I would call the Dr why sit & suffer? I know it might sound silly but did you try heating pads? Feel better

Re: Holy back pain..
Mine was very bad early on in my pregnancy. It did get better so there is hope! There really wasn't much I could do though.

Re: Holy back pain..
Suzy I have been dealing with horrible back pains and my dr. told me to take tylenol every few hours when the pain was bad. He told me not to use a heating pad on my back as it can overheat the baby. He suggested ice packs on the back over heat. Feel better girl!

Re: Holy back pain..
I had it really bad over Memorial Day weekend and it lasted for about a week.
Honestly, I found that the more I moved around the better it felt. When I sat and didn't move for long periods of time, it hurt more when I got up. HOpe you feel better!

No heating pad..yikes!! That's what I did all last night and this morning. I hope I didn't hurt the baby.

Re: Holy back pain..
I have been having terrible pain in my back the last week or so. What works best for me - getting on all fours and kinda stretching. Not sure why it works, but it works!! And I just accidentally stumbled across this when I was on my hands and knees vacuuming and DH yelled at me - and I told him this was the best I felt all week!!
Feel better!!

I was using a heating pad also until the dr. told me no. Dont worry, I'm sure the baby is OK. Just dont continue to use it until you speak to your dr. about it.

Re: Holy back pain..
I had a few days when my back/sciatic was KILLING me. Dr. recommended one of those elastic belts ( preggo belts) He said baby was leaning on my nerve back there.
Looks like hose things that people who unload trucks wear. It helped a little.
Feel better

Re: Holy back pain..
my back has started bothering me alot lately too - am def mentioning to doc tomorrow... it hurts more when i walk though? i feel like the flipflops (which are the only shoes i can fit into are not helping the situation since they don't support too well).

I am not a flip-flop person at all, but lately they are the most comfortable. I think it's around the same time my back started to hurt! I wonder if they could be related.
