They friend anyone and everyone... I get friend requests from strangers all the time - I never accept them - they probably do!!!!

I have a ton because I needed to recruit people for mob wars. 
In reality, I would only have about 60 but that's not enough for mobwars unless I want to get my @ss killed all the time.  Weeding out the MW friends is on my to do list.

After they are in your mob, you can safely delete them from your friends list. I do it all the time.

I know. I joined a group to help me build the mob so I had literally hundreds of friend requests and MW requests at the same time. My mob maxed out so I want to delete the people in my mob and leave the others as MW friends so I can recruit them as I level up. It seems I had to find a way to make a simple game overly complicated.

I know someone that i've dubbed a "friend collector"
She friends anyone that has a FB just to increase her friend count. she has "friends" on her page from school that I'm not even sure she ever even spoke to!

I have a friend from elementary school who as of now as 1121 friends. He is in PR so he know lots of people. I was like wow when I saw his friend count.

I know someone who's added anyone and everyone she's ever known, even if she only breathed the same air as them for ten minutes. I see lots of people I used to know- people from grade school, softball, but I don't have that much interest in them.
I think some people just get hung up on numbers and want as many friends as possible, though I also do know people whose jobs put them in contact with lots of people. That makes a little more sense to me.
