Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
I have terrible allergies all year round. I typically take a claritin/allegra/something every single day. I used to also take a singulair every day but stopped when we started TTC to help my body adjust. Obviously I stopped the claritin as soon as I got my BFP. I have a saline spray that is doing next to nothing. I am SOOO congested I can barely breathe, sneezing constantly, runny eyes, the works! Help - what can I do for relief???

Re: Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
My dr. has me taking my allergy/ asthma medicine. She constantly asks me saying breathing is more important than the slight risk of a problem occurring. Many allergy medicines are only Cat A or Cat B. I would look them up on Kelly mom, the website lists the dangers of many medicines and the risk level.

Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
I tried to not take my allergy medicine for a few days after I found out I was pregnant and I literally broke out in hives and couldn't breath. My doctor also said its more important that I can breath so I switched from Zyrtec to Claritin. I found that I was waking up during the night with allergy attacks, so I take half a does in the AM and the other half when I go to bed. My allergies in general are still pretty bad, I think from the pregnancy, but more manageable

Re: Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
No advice but It sucks....I have seasonal allergies as well and they got a lot worse during PG. Last time I became really allergic to my dogs too and now still have to take more allergy meds to keep them. It's crazy

Re: Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
I put a call in, the nurse called me back and said zyrtec and benadryl were both fine. Thank god! I don't think I could get through with nothing at all! Sending DH to pick up on his way home.

Re: Holy Hell! Allergies! Help!
I am with you! My dr gave me a mild steroid to help with the congestion/inflammation. I took it once for 6 days around 5 weeks and the allergies are just now starting to come back. Will see my dr again on Monday and will find out what to do now.
