HOLY LIGHTNING BATMAN
I can not believe this lightning. I mean wicked..10 flashes at a time lightning. It is so dangerously awesome!!!

This is more exciting than fireworks!! I can't believe how many flashes at a time, I have never seen lightning this bad. Its thundering too, but no rain ...lots of wind though.

It went out to sea, we are a few blocks from the water and I watched the clouds move out, such a cool sight still..I just hope nobody gets hurt being this is a big weekend on the water and it came fast andman that lightning is BAD!!

Lightning here in E. Northport too. We just drove home from Greenport and the farther west we drove, the darker it got. Even the game is delayed!

ME TOO! And me and DH were just watching out the window! What a lightening storm that WAS!!!
They said on the weather channel is was over the south shore/Nassau area.
It was like one flash after another for a fe w minutes striaght!

We saw the lightning when we were driving around East Northport earlier also. it was so strange...no rain, just random flashes of lightning!

I am in massapequa park and it was pretty scaring around 8:30 or so My neighbor and I were walking threw the perserve when it started and started speed walking the 3 mile trek home.
Made it in the front door right before the rain. It didnt last very long.

We were out at the Nautical Mile in Freeport wandering around looking for a restaurant to eat at. The lightening was insane and all of a sudden it downpoured. We ran into Rachel's which worked ot because that's what everyone recommended anyway. Tons of other people ran in too and they had to close the patio because tables were literally flying around. Needless to say it was packed and we waited an hour and a half for a table, but we had a great view of the lightening through the windows.
ETA that a year ago yesterday on our honeymoon we had crazy lightening too that we watched out of our hotel room window, so last night was very fitting.
