it's crazy windy where i am too. I drive through town and see roof shingles all over the place. Traffic lights dangling by threads, it's so scary. My house is the highest level in my community so we are getting hit with the wind the hardest and it's freaking me out.

I know...it's crazy out there.
I saw 2 bicyclist on Hawkins Ave this afternoon Hawkins Ave is a very busy rd in Lk Ronkonkoma/Lk Grove area. I thought they were a little nuts!

I was outside and I must of picked up about 50-60 shingles that came off my roof.  I have to call my insurance company now. I don't need this right now, I hope this wind calms down soon...

I read on Newsday that a crossing gate blew into a train on the Ronkonkoma line this morning- and shattered a window- causing a bunch of people to get cut.
My question is- why isn't that glass tempered like in your car? Where it shatters but doesn't break into sharp shards that can cause injury??
That is scary...
