Home aide/hospice care around Great Neck?

Can anyone give me some good names/agencies? I have a good friend whose grandmother, living in GN, was just diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and is trying to coordinate her care from Philadelphia.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I used to work for Heart to Home about 15 years ago - they are located in Great Neck. I think the # is 829-6000. FM - I can give you a name there to ask for - I am not sure if he still works there though. Sorry to hear about your friends grandmother

Try Cancer Care, they have offices in the city and on LI (in Woodbury) I believe. They are very helpful. I might also try the NYS Dept of the Aging. They should be able to give you an idea of what services are available in her area.

My mom uses Senior Helpers for my grandfather. He lives is East Norwich.

We just had an agency come to our home to adminster my husband's chemotherapy. They are called RegionCare, and are affiliated with North Shore LIJ. I am pretty sure the nurse who came mentioned hospice care, but do check with them. I think their offices are in Manhasset, and their number is (516) 414-3900.

The nurses were good, and best of all, they handled the various certifications/authorizations our insurance company requires.
