Home alarm install question?
Has anyone had a company install a home alarm for free and signed up for a 5 year contract?
If so, who did you use?
are you happy with it?
what do you pay per month?
TIA

Yes Meenan. Semi happy. They have always been there to fix a problem, but there is no one in their office after 5. But she is awesome when she is there.

$1,200 is probably about right. My DH installs alarms and just did a job that was around $1,700 for a decent size job. Not sure exactly what equipment was included in the quote you received though.

The "free" installs are usually basic - one keypad, one or two doors, a motion sensor. If you wanted additional keypads, windows, doors, cellular backup, etc. it will add up. It seems like the free installs often have higher monthly fees too. We paid for an extensive install with VMS security but only pay $26 per month and they pick up the phone whenever we have a question. I've had call-backs from the owner calling from his daughter's softball game and while he's on vacation on FL. If there is an issue he makes sure it's taken care of.

Yep. When my DH does installs he gets his clients monitoring for $18.95 per month.
