Home and waiting??
Is anyone else done with working for now?
I have been home for a month now and I feel like I have been waiting forever and I still have 4 1/2 weeks to go!!!
I'm starting to run out of things to do and besides playing poker and backgammon I feel like I am on this site ALLLLLLL day long!!

Re: Home and waiting??
We moved and are uprooted for a few weeks, so at 18 weeks I think my SAHM stint has started.
I have knit, constantly do laundry, swim just to have to shower so that I blow out my hair again. I keep meaning to buy Uno, but for some reason DH doesn't seem interested

Re: Home and waiting??
I've been home since the end of June when school ended- I have a week to go before the baby's born. I've been enjoying myself! I take lots of naps during the day (having trouble sleeping at night), work on my pregnancy scrapbook, do tons of laundry, read my baby books (just finished The Happiest Baby on the Block- it was great!) and e-mail my girlfriends. Not to mention spending way too much time on LIF! I've set up everything for the baby too. I try to have lunch with family or friends at least once a week.

I don't think DH would like that very much, since he loves it there as much as I.
Yes, I know exactly where you are...I just call that "regular Myrtle Beach", LOL.
People there absolutely love to drink. You can go to Ripley's, that's always fun!
We are planning to come down there next summer in the end of August.

Re: Home and waiting??
Everyone told me while i was waiting for baby to rest rest rest. And i said ya right, I don't need it.
I wish it did! I wish I had those quiet times back that I could just read, watch tv, even run out at a moments notice, eat out, sleep and take in those last "alone" time with DH.
Do what and everthing you want and can now!!

Re: Home and waiting??
Me! I have been home since the beginning of July and have 30 days until my due date. I have been getting a lot accomplished, but at times just am so board. Everyone says to enjoy this alone time so I have been trying to do that and take advantage of being home. I'm just so anxious for her arrival!

I had to when you said poker and backgammon, maybe youre on the same sites as my hubby
he has even started teaching our THREE YEAR old to play poker and backgammon (and chess, and checkers and how to play with his new slot machine!! )
youd get along with my boys over here (nope, not real money in the slot machine sorry )
yikes 5 weeks is a while, sorry to be the bummer, clean out some closets, declutter, reorganize things, write a journal to baby or just come over here and help me clean up in between playing backgammon with the boys
Hey hubby has poker nite here tomorrow, Im sure you can invite yourself over

Re: Home and waiting??
hahah I feel like I'm 23 going on 50 with all the old "lady" type games I like. I was on a Mah Jong kick for a while!
Hmm..poker night....good way to make extra $$$ for the baby.
It really wont be that bad once her room is finished..then I can decorate and start to have fun!!!
