Home Depot - Something Free to Do with Kids
So, a few weeks ago, on a Saturday morning DS was with me when I was running errands. I needed to buy some wood glue. In any case, when we went to HD, they had a kids workshop. I stopped by and it was the cutest thing. DS (3 years old), made a wooden car. They helped him hammer it together and add sticker. They gave him a HD smock and pins. It happens every first Saturday of the month. I loved it and best of all it was free I highly recommend it - next month its a wooden planter. DH is going to take him.
HD Workshop
BTW, it says its for ages 5-12 but they were happy to help DS and he is only 3. There were tons of kids under 5 and my only suggestion is to be there around 9:15. We got there at 10 and I overheard them saying there was no way there would be enough kits to last them until 12pm.

Thats such a cute idea! I think DS would just go crazy over all the ceiling fans, that might keep him occupied for a while.

LOL - DS thought it was a playground. He rode on the John Deere tractors, played with the rakes....it was really a fun morning.

Re: Home Depot - Something Free to Do with Kids
It is a great program except for NC, they wouldn't let my kids do this until they were at least 5 yrs old. So, for the past few years we've been going to Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic, it's free too!

Call HD prior to the first Sat of the month (customer service desk) and register. Then they will definitely have a kit for you. The kids who are registered get priority.
