Home Depot for Siding or Windows?
Has anyone ever used Home Depot for siding or window installation?
Per a friends recommendation we had the guy come out, DH ended up sort of knowing him. He was really great, price was good and he had a lot of ideas. Just want to see if anyone has gone that route.
TIA!

We are siding our house this year and were thinking of using Home Depot or Lowes, did you find the estimate they gave you to be fair? We have no idea how to go about finding someone reputable and not outrageously expensive.

It seems a little bit higher than an average contractor but their pitch is the warranty that you have behind it is transferrable and really for lifetime (including the workmanship for three years).
Plus, you have a project manager that guides you through everything.

check the quality of the siding they use. I know they used to have a rep that their siding fades way faster than a better quality siding.
Never used their contractors, so I can't speak to their work.

It's always a hit or miss with Home Depot or Lowe's. They use several contractors (they don't do the work themselves) so it varies from one job to another.

I see what you are saying -- the actual project manager is a HD associate but I know the crews that he hires aren't.
