Homeowners insurance wants us to take care of the outside railing?
We have Tri State, and a rep came out to look at the outside of our home after we moved in. He said to me that it might be a problem that we have no railing on our front stairs. He says "Ill put in my report that you are getting estimates."
We get a letter from Tri State saying we have a hazardous condition on our property, and we need to document what we are doing about it.
This is not in our budget right now. What should we do?
Thanks

can't you get something cheap for now? that will do the job but may not be the most attractive?

When we did the walk through, the owners said that it woudl be very $$, due to the kind of stone the steps are.
So frustrating.

our engineers report picked it up... so the previous owners had to put one up before we could officially purchase the house... they did a stupid cheapo job, and it is ugly, but it worked... i think it only took 3 pieces of wood...

Just some advice, a small possibility this would work.
can you get an estimate, contract and send that in?
Its proof you are getting it done...and saving you not to get it right away. Then the company will eventually follow up.
I know it su*ks but its a liability issue.
