Honda Accord drivers, or anyone who doesn't have a middle headrest....Mirror related
How do you mount your mirror? I can't seem to get mine to stay up......the part that goes between the seat and the back dash seems to be too short....

Are you talking about the mirror to be able to see the baby?
The SCP officer who checked our car seats told us they are a safety hazard. In the event of an accident they can come lose and the force can cause them to projectile towards the baby. SAme with the roll up window shades... cling-on ones are ok.
Because of a story or two he told us we have nothing but them and their car seats in the back seat.

We have one that attaches to the back and has a suction cup to the window.
They may be a safety hazard but I would be a worse saftey hazard if I was looking back there every five seconds. I NEED that mirror.
We have the FP Bobblin Band one and I love it. ITs a plastic mirror as most are and its sooo clear, I can see his entire body in it.
Im sure if they were that unsafe, they wouldnt be sold and or would be recalled.

Our mirror had a loop that I put around the support posts of the headrest. For that to come off, the headrest would need to come off!
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in a car is a potential projectile in a car. Bottles, groceries, purses, phones, etc. Look at any car after a bad accident, and you'll see things all over the place.
For me, the minimal risk of the mirror outweighed the much higher risk of looking back all the time, or not noticing if DC was having trouble breathing for any reason.
Back to the OP... We don't have a middle head-rest, but I put it on one of the side headrests and had it angled to point to DC. It worked out just fine.

If they have a tether, they are perfectly safe. We use one and we tether it to the trunk part (I have an SUV) and tilt it towards dd so I can see her
