Honda CR-V owners - a question

how is the gas mileage?

I know you get more MPG than what the sticker says.... just curious how you feel about your MPG.

TY!

the MPG for the '08 CR-V is 20 mpg in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. my DH says mfg's alway under-estimate the MPG and it's been my experience that is true. my v-6 gets 30 MPG on the hwy, the sticker said 27.

Re: Honda CR-V owners - a question

We get an average of 30 highway, 23-25 city.

ETA - My experience with other cars is that the estimated MPG is always an over-estimate. Luckily, with the CR-V, my experience is that we do better than what the sticker says. We have an '07.

We get better gas mileage than my parents' Mecury Cougars. Chat Icon

Remember, the CR-V is NOT a V-6 engine...

oh I know... they only come in 4 cyl engines. that is really good MPG though!!

I am just trying to make a good choice if I do decide to get a new car soon. I can't even imagine what gas prices will be this summer Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Honda CR-V owners - a question

i think the gas mileage is great - it was better than our other car which was an 02 nissan maxima SE. it's about the same as our other current car - rav-4.

Re: Honda CR-V owners - a question

I rarely need to drive on the highways. The majority of my driving is on the local roads, and I get 20 mpg

Re: Honda CR-V owners - a question

I will tell you my TRUE mileage not the sitcker.

I have the 4WD (it consums more gas than the 2WD).

I do mostly city driving. Lost of stop and go, stop lights, etc...

I usually do 19 to 20 miles per gallon.

It's much better when I do highway.
