Hopsital Pics - Anyone Not Have It Offered?
They didn't take Emma's pic in the hospital (Stony Brook) Weird right? Was I supposed to ask them to? It slipped my mind on the last day with all of the paperwork, visits from nurses, docs, etc. to get discharged so I forgot to ask about it. I'm a little bummed about it, but of course I took a ton of pics with my own camera.

How do you know they didn't, did you ask? I didn't even mention it and weeks later I received these hideous looking pics from Roman was first born. I thought it was standard procedure.

Me! At NYU. But i took a ton- right when they took her out of me via c-section I said to DH, hand me the camera. Ihave pics of them cleaning her up and everything. So we have no shortage of newborn pics.

They offered that to me in the hospital (St. Catherines) but I declined the service. I took a million pics with my own camera anyway. Their packages cost soo much money and it wasn't anything I couldn't do with my own camera.

No-one even mentioned it. Weeks later I got all the pics in the mail with the package and cost options. I sent them all back except one small pic.

I delivered at Huntington and they took DD's pics abut an hour before we were discharged. Its now almost a month later and I still havent gotten any pics, but I did get that message the hospital warned me about....I am entitled to a free in home session by a company affiliated with the hospital

I also delivered at Huntington but was not offered or told about any pictures being taken - I really wanted a picture but no one offered and I never asked

Bella was in the NICU, and I was never offered, we have about a THOUSAND pics from her in the hospital...
I did wish I had like one...everyone seemed to always have those pics (g-pa, dad, older people)

okay - so here is the deal from a hospital administrator - these pic services are from outside companies with a cut the hospitals a donation to the hospital's fundraising dept - for the most part they come in on the weekdays and limited times - they will try weekends but sometimes dont - dont take it personally that they did not offer - i would just call the post partum unit and ask if they offer and/or they did it
