hormone levels...hsg...SA....oh my!
I will try to make a long story short, DH and I have been trying for DC #2 for 8 months with no luck. I conceived DS naturally with no problem. I started to get ansty and spoke with my dr. I had routine bloodwork everything was perfect except for my hormone levels. She said they are borderline for PCOS, BUT I have no other symptoms....I have a regular period and had a pelvis sono for pains I was having back in sept or so and everything was all good. So now I'm in my 2WW and they are sending DH for a SA and me for more bloodwork and an HSG pending the arrival of AF. My original bloodwork was done by my GP at my yearly physical, they just added the hormone levels to send to my OB so I guess my OB wants to repeat them. It's alot to take in all at once....just need to vent.... Anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: hormone levels...hsg...SA....oh my!
Sort of. I dont have any history of PCOS. back in my 20's they did find a very small cyst on my ovary, and thats why i went on the pill. was on it for 10years. came off last feb and my cycles were fine up until a few months ago.
Im supposd to have an HSG but the dr's office said it has to wait due to scheduling conflicts in radiology. But we are forging ahead with an iui/clomid cycle this month anyway.
Hubby did an SA test that went awry with the lab and our transporting it there so he is doing another one next week.
I seriously think my problem is hormonal. My LP seems to be chaning by a day here and there and i spot for days before AF comes. Leads me to think my progresterone is too low.
It is alot to take in. I find the ladies on here to be so nice and informative..they really help make it easier to get through.
I hope we all get answers and BFP real soon!

Thanks for sharing! I too spot for a couple of days before AF, it's brownish and only when I wipe...TMI. Then I get AF full flow for 1 day and the 2nd day it's usually just a pantyliner with very light spotting....not sure what this all means though.

Re: hormone levels...hsg...SA....oh my!
probably has something to do with the hormones. if they're saying you're borderline PCOS b/c of the hormones, you're probably lacking something or something is out of balance.
its mentioned in Taking Charge of your fertility which im reading now.
if you havent bought it, i recommend it. Its quite large and daunting at first, but its very educational.
