Horrible cramps..please help
Hi ladies,
Well, I have gone off the pill-its been about 2 weeks and i have never experienced pain like this. I have the worst lower abdominal pain-feels like cramps but even worse-if i press on the skin outside the area its sore as well.
Has anyone had symptoms like this upon going off their pill?? I just want to know its normal...but i am still thinking of seeing my doctor. OH-its also causing pretty bad back pain. I've been taking midol, i just can't imagine what i'll feel like when my period comes :(

I think its normal. I used to have terrible cramps, lower back pain, heavy flow, bad bad cramps before being on the pill - then with the pill it all stopped. We forget sometimes how it used to be pre-pill. Just pop some Advil - it will get better.

I wish though i could say this was the way it was before the pill...but its a different kind of cramp-its literally so bad i was doubled over. Maybe my body is just adjusting badly to going off...
i hope thats the case :(

I had crazy cramps when I went off the pill, right around when I ovulated and like 5 days after. But I also didn't realize I was pg at that time. I think it's normal though as your body starts to pump out the hormones for your cycle.

Its normal to have a very bad AF as your first AF off the pill. I for one, did! My dr told me it was normal. It ws horrible - very painful! I hope you feel better!

pelvic cramp-like pain can also be an intestinal or colon disorder. My husband has diverticulitis and he gets pain in his lower abdomen and pelvic area. Can't hurt to see your Dr.

Try upping your calcium- I read somewhere that it helps relieve cramps, and when I tried it, it helped me.

I'm not sure if this will help - but taking extra iron sometimes helps when my cramps get severe
