Re: Hospital for dehydration

Try getting the Pedialite (sp?) pops. They are ice pops that you freeze. I was dehydrated a few ago from a bad stomach virus and they worked wonders.

Feel better!!

By the way,,,CVS, RiteAid, etcs carries them.

Re: Hospital for dehydration

Wa sthere a few times...about 3 ER visits and admitted twice...

Yes you start to feel much better after the fluids hit you....And they can usually add some Zofran to it and that helps too.

But usually it would take 2-4 IV bags to feel 100% again.

hang in there.

Almost, but the Zofran kicked in and then I didn't have to go.

BTW, for me it WASN'T the whole "vicious cycle" it was that my ms was neverending. I was dehydrated again at like 31 weeks on.

Oh and skip water. Drink gatorade. Water is VERY rough on your stomach.

Aww so sorry. I have been there. The iV hydration works wonders and if the pops dont work try regular ice chips. I could take ice chips instead of cups of water.

Yes, I went several times for hydration. Please ask your doctor to see if you have Hyperemisis Gravidarum. A LOT of woman are misdiagnosed which leads them to suffering throughout the pregnancy. There are things that can help. FM me if you have any questions. I just hate to see woman suffering and doctors not diagnosing correctly.
