hospital tours and pregnancy classes
how did you girls go about setting up a tour of the maternity ward at your hospital? did you do it through your OB, or did you call the hospital yourself?
also, pregnancy classes like child birth and breast feeding: how do you get info on dates, times, and where these things are held?

I called the local hospital (not the one I'm delivering at) for Birthing class info. Most hospitals have special depts that handle all the classes. They will give you info over the phone and/or send you pamphlets in the mail to review.
We took Lamaze at St. Charles.
We just scheduled and took a Tour and mandatory C-Section class at Good Sam (where I am delivering) this past Saturday.

My hospital allowed you to register for all of those things online.

i didn't take any classes but i called the hospital to schedule the tour, make sure you call early they fill up fast cause they only take a certain number of couples for each tour

Yes, the classes all require a fee, but every hospital is different. For me, the hospital tour was free and the classes were all different costs depending on the topic.
