HOSTAGE situation in Bronx near my DS fathers house!
News 12 The Bronx has learned there is a possible hostage situation at 2344 Eastchester Road. Police say a man and woman are barricaded inside an apartment. The SWAT team is on the scene, as well as a Con Ed crew ready to shut off the gas in case the suspect attempts to blow up the house. The suspect has been identified as a retired corrections officer. Several streets are closed surrounding Eastchester Road by Pelham Parkway as a result of the situation, and people in nearby buildings have been evacuated by NYPD officers.

Oh crap!!! My MIL left here about an hour ago and should be right near there to get home. I just texted her to take a different route in the Bronx.

Oh crap!!! My MIL left here about an hour ago and should be right near there to get home. I just texted her to take a different route in the Bronx.
