Hostess Gift - opinions needed
Our neighbor invited us over tonight for a b-b-q to celebrate her DH's birthday.
We bought her DH a small gift and I told her I would make something for dessert and she told me "not to bother" because she is off today and I work.
In this case... would you still bring a "hostess gift" (i.e. flowers, store bought cake, etc)?
Thanks in advance!!!

Not for a birthday party where you are bringing a gift.

Re: Hostess Gift - opinions needed
The only time I bring a hostess gift is if I'm staying overnight at someone's house.
Oops - meant to clarify that as "gift", I meant something other than a bottle of wine, flowers, etc.
I think you're fine with just the DH's gift.

If you are bringing a gift for her DH, then no. Otherwise, I'd bring something - flowers, a bottle of wine.

I'd bring a small box of bakery cookies or some wine
