Hostess Gift
DH's cousin is hosting Xmas Eve. I like ot bring a gift to the person who hosts large holidats and GTGs.
What do you suggest? Is an ornament ok? Any other idea anyone can think of?

Re: Hostess Gift
i saw these really cute things in bed bath and beyond- martini flavor stirrers. it looks like lollipops, but you stir them in your drink and it flavors the drink.

Re: Hostess Gift
I like to bring a hostess gift too. For the holidays, I like the idea of an ornament, or a Christmas platter or bowl.

Re: Hostess Gift
An ornament is a nice idea or maybe a festive flower arrangement.

Re: Hostess Gift
Guest towels or Holiday Kitchen towels are always nice. Who couldn't use more kitchen towels when you are hosting.

Re: Hostess Gift
I bought a cute little Dylan's Candy Bar wrapped tier thing for occasions like this. I got it at Lord and Taylor.

Re: Hostess Gift
Someone once brought me a really nice buffet serving tray as a hostess gift. I love it and use it everytime we entertain.

Re: Hostess Gift
I usually go to Home Goods/Target....bake something/cook something and buy a pretty platter/bowl to put it on.
The Christmas tree shop had "kitchen in a bag"($6.99) things that were so cute.....it had 4 napkins,4 placemats, oven mit, kitchen towel and it came in a wine bag. It was really cute, the only thing I suggest is to re-wrap it and put a cute ornament on it

Re: Hostess Gift
i like the idea of an ornament or holiday themed dish towels. i also always like to bring something that the hostess can use that night: a baked good, a bottle of wine, flowers for the table, etc.

I have a friend that always brings me seasonal Yankee Candles. I absolutely love getting them because they are something that I always use.

Re: Hostess Gift
Last year I gave a similar set of votives (not tea lights like pictured) to the hostess of an annual Xmas party we go to. I got them at Crate and Barrel.

Re: Hostess Gift
I bought a really cute Christmas platter/candy dish thing at TJ Maxx for my SIL (she's having a holiday cocktail party). It's really cute and only $7.99
ETA: I bought the cutest tealight holder yesterday at the Christmas Tree Shops for $10. It had 5 round tealight holders that spelled out MERRY that all sat on a base that said Christmas.
It's really cute. I'll try to find a pic.

Re: Hostess Gift
The BEST hostess gift I ever received was a simple cake plate with rugalach on it! It was dessert and a gift all in one
