I buy the hershey's cocoa, the unsweetened kind and make it by the directions on the side of the box. My DH and I love it!! I also add cinnamon to it because I love mexican chocolate.

Land O' Lakes makes some really awesome flavored ones. I love the Mint Hot Chocolate one. They sell individual packs in most supermarkets, and I know last winter the had a big group of maybe 6 different flavors (and 5 packets or so of each flavor) at Costco for really cheap...they were delicious!! They had a caramel, a raspberry, a double or triple chocolate, and not sure what else.
YUM!

Hands down Ghiradelli. So rich and creamy and they have really yummy flavors. A little pricey, but SO worth it. I've tried just about every brand and this is the only one I'll buy now.

I totally agree! I think they sell it at the supermarket now.

I second Ghiradelli! I got mine at Waldbaums, but they probably have it at other stores. I also like Godiva, but it's a bit $$$$.

Most supermarkets sell it now. When I lived in NY I used to get it at Shoprite.

Yes, you can get it at pretty much any supermarket. It's delicious!
Last year for the heck of it, I bought some Godiva hot chocolate mix from the Godiva store. The Ghiradelli was soooooooooooo much better. (BTW, the Godiva isn't worth the $$. It was pretty bad.)
After the Ghiradelli, the Hershey's is really good, too.

Ohhh I'll have to get the Ghiradelli one then. I usually make the Godiva hot chocoloate at home. I don't love it, but its better than Swiss Miss

I agree -- I tired the Godiva at my MIL's house recently and was pretty disappointed. I thought it'd be much richer in flavor. I went back to the Ghiradelli when I got home.
I love their Double Chocolate and Chocolate Hazelnut -- both are soooo yummy.

I really like ghirardelli. Trader Joe's has a sipping chocolate mix that is delicious and can be used as a hot chocolate mix also . . .

Re: Hot chocolate - what's the best tasting brand?
the BEST one is using the chocolate discs from Leonidas.
after that, comes this french powered brand a bought at the bakery I go to in Park Slope (it's imported. don't know the name-this is the only "instant" I will use.)
and for regular days, it's the Hershey's chocolate recipe on the box. I am actually going to start tinkering with this one to add some flavors..first up in peppermint schnapps.
