Hot Tubs

I hear that Hot Tubs are a no-no.

Is there a certain temperature that is ok for someone that is pregnant to be in a hot tub?

TIA

Re: Hot Tubs

I think hot tubs are too hot period. Warm baths are ok, but I would say don't even risk a hot tub, plus there is lots of bacteria that can enter your vagina.

I wouldn't risk a hot tub, When I was pregnant I stayed away from the bath as well. I LOVE hot baths and to me there is so point to a warm one. Plus I'd still be nervous about the temp.

Re: Hot Tubs

I spoke to my midwife yesterday and she said tubs are ok so long as the temperature is 102 degrees or less. That put my mind at ease because I have been wanting to relax in a tub for months... We have a baby tub thermometer shaped like a duck and I will use that to keep check on the temperature Chat Icon
