Hot yoga/Bikram girls
My studio is offering a special for $1000.00 for a year of unlimited hot yoga.
I would be saving close to $800.00 if I bought this package.
Right now I go on average 3x/a week.
Would you sign up?
I am just so nervous about spending the $$$$ and then something happening where I can't go anymore.
I thought about speaking to the studio owner to see if I could get a partial refund if something happens, but DH, who is self-employed, feels that is "wrong" to do and I should either buy the package or just continue to pay monthly.
Thoughts?

If I could do it, I would. I wonder.....let's say something *did* happen and you couldn't go anymore.....I wonder if you could transfer it to another person and they pay you the balance, KWIM?
like if you only got to go 6 months and had 6 months left....they'd give u $500 for it.
Something to ask the owner, maybe?

Thanks, that is an idea.
I am going to speak with the owner this week.
Where are my other Bikram babes? Thoughts?

Re: Hot yoga/Bikram girls
I would be up front and ask the owner what the terms are. I had a 3 month package at my studio and stopped going for about a month when my mom passed away. When I was ready to go back, I spoke to the owner and he extended my membership for a month.
God forbid if there was an injury or tragedy, I would hope for your sake that they would allow you to freeze the account. Most gyms allow it. Good luck!

Re: Hot yoga/Bikram girls
I'm currently taking a break from my studio because I'm PG. I had two m/c's leading up to this PG so I didn't want to take that chance that it could harm the PG. (I read so many mixed reviews about whether one could continue once PG.) My membership is on hold right now and we'll resume it once the baby is born (and I get the OK to resume exercising from my OB.)
Speak with them about it. I would think that if something comes up they may work with you.

Re: Hot yoga/Bikram girls
i manage a hot yoga studio, and we fully understand things can happen. we freeze memberships all the time, and gladly will welcome them back.
no harm in asking. from what i hear the owner there is a pretty nice guy.
or you could just come to my studio we would take great care of you!

Re: Hot yoga/Bikram girls
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
I am going to speak with him tonight if he's there and then I will most likely sign up.
It's too good of a deal to pass up.
Bahumbug, I would totally consider your offer but I feel loyal and a connection to this studio and I need somewhere closeby since I'm a mom and it's such a time committment already.
If I recall, where you work is up on the Northshore (??)
