House & Building addresses
Ok so this is weird...my office is a brand new building. Before that, it was just a lot with trees. (I remember because I live close). So, the address is 150 "XYZ" Ave. BUT, the entrance, the one and only entrance, is on "ABCD Ave".
Why would they not make the address on the street where the actual entrance is? The only thing I can think of is that maybe 100 years ago or something there was a house here and so they have to keep the lot the same address...I really don't know but I'm curious
Anyone have an idea?

Re: House & Building addresses
Is the "address" street a bigger, and more well-known name than the entrance street name? If I owned a company, I would rather be on Main Street that everyone knew than Unknown Street.
It might be related to taxes as well. Not sure if there is a difference in taxes based on your street address.
That's all I've got...
