Re: House deed
If it has been filed, you can get a copy from the country clerk's office.

Re: House deed
Your attorney should have given you one at closing or not too long after closing with a closing statement. Look with your mortgage documents. If you don't have it then call your attorney they should have a copy of it. Title closers always provide purchaser & seller with copies.

Re: House deed
I got it from my attorney - I had no idea what it was, so I made copies of everything I thought it might be and took them with me when I applied for STAR

Re: House deed
You get a copy of it at closing. The real deed you wont get for about 2 years though. Just look through your paperwork, you will find it. It should have the sellers signature on it and your signature on it too.

I got mine in less than 2 months and it doesn't have both the seller & buyers signature on it. It shoudl only have the seller's signature on it unless there are convenants in teh contract requiring the buyers to do things.

Re: House deed
Not sure if this will help but when DH and I were looking at a flip a few months back we went to the Town Clerk and got a copy of the deed on the computer. It was for a house in Merrick so we went to the Town of Hempstead office on Old Country Road. You go to the terminal yourself, enter lot, block and section and then you can pull the deed. We paid to print it out. Maybe you can do the same.
