My Tivo taped it yesterday I believe, or the day before.
AIR TIMES: • May 22, 2008 10:00 PM ET/PT • May 23, 2008 2:00 AM ET/PT Goodbye, City Life! A couple wants to trade the concrete canyons of New York for the quiet vineyards of Long Island.

We watched it. Is the husband still commuting to NYC for work!?! I thought they mentioned that one of the homes would "add on to his commute".
I like the one they chose the best. The so-called "Victorian" (post-modern in my book) wouldn't have been so bad if it was done with Cedar siding as opposed to vinyl.

I was wondering the same thing, if the hubby was still going to Manhattan daily? That would be some commute!
I too liked the house they picked the best, but don't think I would want to be by the vineyard for some reason.
I hated the last home, in East Marion. Too traditional, not enough of an open feel. The second home wasn't bad.
The main thing I noticed was the prices, since I don't know too much about the North Fork. I was surprised, I actually thought the prices would be much higher! I went to MLS then to check things out and was very surprised that the prices and taxes were lower than I had imagined they might be.

Yeah, I thought the homes they were viewing would be 1mil plus!

I was wondering if he only commutes once in a while, maybe works from home most times. More power to them, my DH would never travel that far on a daily basis (which limits where we can move of course).

Maybe they have a rent control apt. in the city and they didn't give it up...
I thought the price seemed reasonable considering the kitchen & details in the house.

I thought the same thing. It didn't need any work. Loved it!

I didn't see the one on the NF but I did see an episode that was in Westhampton. I was from Hampton Bays so it was cool seeing Westhampton on House Hunters
