Housebreaking advice.

So, Ally knows to go outside. In the morning, she lets us know that she needs to go out. We take her out, she does her business.

She does the same throughout the day.

Sometimes though, we'll take her out, she does her thing, then she'll come in and 10 minutes later, she'll go again.

We just go and clean it up, we don't yell, we don't praise. We just clean it.

How do we get this to stop?

Maybe you aren't leaving her out long enough? She could be getting distracted and not finishing. How old is she?

I think maybe the other poster is right, maybe she's not finishing outside, sometime Gus pees, and then poos, and then pees again...

Re: Housebreaking advice.

I think you're supposed to give her a firm no when she does it in the house, and then make sure to get her outside ASAP. If it's not a house-breaking issue, she could be sick or have a UTI.

I also read you should let your dog watch you clean up the mess - something about dominance or knowing you will always clean up the mess??? But who knows ... I read a lot of strange things ...

My parents female dog marks like a male would. Everywhere she goes, every 5 steps she has to pee even if nothing comes out.
