Housebroken dog or not?

The rescue my friends got their dog from swore that the dog they rescued was completely housebroken. She never had one accident in the house at all and she was there for a little while. But at her house the dog keeps peeing in her son's bedroom. Only 1 time a day, I believe in the early morning? Does anyone have any suggestions for getting her to stop going in the house? Oh, the dogs are getting along a lot better and play together a lot now. Chat Icon

Re: Housebroken dog or not?

As we previously stated, ANY DOG will need training and time and patience in a new household.

If someone doesn't have the time to DO THAT, they should not adopt a dog and expect the dog to be perfect. Bottom line. Pets take TIME. They are not robots that can be predicted.

Here's my suggestion. Tell her to brace herself, b/c the dog is going to need time and basic puppy bladder training. If she can't provide that, she should not have adopted the dog.

There is no magic trick here.

I completely agree.

As I've said in your prior post about your friend it sounds to me like she is in WAY over her head.
