How ACCURATE Do You Think Your DR Is When Measuring Your Child?

Chloe had her two year old well visit today:) We are ALWAYS told that people cannot believe how TALL she is, etc, etc and according to my DR, she "claims" she is only 34" which barely puts her in the 75th percentile for height:) I aways feel she does it so quick and its not accurate, especially with the comments we always get on her height:)

PS. She weighs 31.8 lbs.(90th percentile) BUT, she was only up from 30.5 6 MOS ago so she is FINALLY leveling out:)

Did she measure her standing up or laying down?

Laying down:) Does that matter?

PS. Any idea if Dawn's is going to do another photo shoot or no? I mentioned to her what you said and she said she would work it out with you so I guess the idea "we" spoke about was not what she wanted:)

I don't think the measurements are really accurate. Jacob was 36 inches at 15 months, 35 inches at 18 months and then 36.25 at 2 years. And like your DD, he only gained .5lbs from 18 months to 2 years (30lbs to 30.5lbs).

They are longer than than they are tall...Up until 3 years of age they are suppose to be measured laying down. So that could have been the case...

As soon as I get her her edits back I'll let her know what my schedule is and we can get the rest of the pics done....

Re: How ACCURATE Do You Think Your DR Is When Measuring Your Child?

I always double check bc I'm anal like that. They can be off...most of the times it's no biggie as far as their growth and well being bc can they really be off by that much? But I like accuracy for my own records so I always recheck.

When my DD went for her 6 yr old visit, they weighed her and said she was 51 lbs. I just weighed her at my SIL's house that week and she was 44 lbs. In fact, after that I weighed her on 5 different scales (I know Chat Icon ) and they all were around the 45ish mark. That was weird but unusual.
