How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
Originally I wanted to go away to a spa resort with DH and DS but spa and baby don't really seem to go together. I was also interested in Great Wolf Lodge but it's close to $600 per night!!!
What is everyone else doing?
We got invited to a kiddie valentine's day brunch. Maybe we'll go after all.

well it's a hallmark holiday. I normally make a nice dinner for DH and I, this year it will be nice but with the boy too. We have never been big on Vday.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
We have a doctor's appointment in Philly so we are making a weekend out of it. On Saturday night I am going out with a girlfriend and my DH is watching the kids. On Sunday, Valentine's Day we will hang out as a family. Maybe we will go to an early dinner or something.

DH and I are doing dinner out on Saturday night while my cousin watches the little one. Then sunday I am making heart shaped pancakes, and we will take the little one to white post farms or the aquarium.

We have no one to watch DS, so maybe we'll all go out to lunch or order dinner. Nothing exciting.

We aren't doing anything. It is also the weekend for Chinese New Year and that is a real holiday to us. We might go out to dinner together on another weekend but we don't "do" valentines day.

A girlfriend of mine names her daughter Valentina so they have a names day party for her. Really just an excuse for everyone to get together. Our anniversary is less than a week after so we don't need to do anything romantic.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
i personally never really liked valentines day... since this is my first valentines day without DH since we are going through a divorce, i will be spending it with my kids for sure...probably will bake some valentine goodies, cookies or cupcakes and maybe rent a movie to watch. if i was invited to a kiddie valentines day brunch id be going to that , sounds cute!

DH & I will be celebrating Valentine's Day the following weekend. I have a date w/ DS for lunch at McDonalds and DD is going to Wendy's with her Daddy.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
Last year on V-Day was 2 days before my scheduled Csection so we just went to Grimaldi's pizza in Douglaston and a movie cause I was too nervous to eat anything big.
Now that DS is here I think we might go with him there and make it a family V-Day tradition...celebrating with my 2 valentines!

So far we cant find a babysitter so we may be staying home at night. That day DS has a bday party.

Gymboree is having a V-Day party for families, I was thinking about doing that. Otherwise, probably nothing special.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
We'll go to dinner just the two of us either on the 13th or 14th and my parents will watch Thomas. Nothing fancy though. If it wasn't on a weekend, then we probably wouldn't even go to dinner specifically for Valentine's Day.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
Ugh, all the Vday decorations have me so bummed these days
It SHOULD be a special day for DH & I (we met on VDay ), but I'm just not feeling it at all this year and wish we could bypass the day

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
If I could I would be having a big first birthday for dd since it is her birthday, but unfortunately dh and I will be out of state without the kids for a wedding.
Other than it being our dd's bday, we never really made a big deal of Valentine's day before.

Re: How are you celebrating Vday? Are you celebrating with your kids?
always celebrate every holiday, we will either go away or go away and do the usual elaborate dinner with creme bulee in heart shaped ramekins, all red and pink, the whole nine yards. My older two their bday is the day after,
thinking right now rack of lamb...yummmm
