How common are false positives?
If I have an EPT HPT and it shows as a BFP, should I test again on something else (digital?) and if so, how soon? ETA: I haven't tested on either yet!
also, where do you get the digital tests? I looked in CVS and all I saw was the EPTs and the CVS brand?
thanks!!
ETA: got AF this morning. was sad but okay with it b/c we weren't officially trying yet (starting next month) and I honestly didn't think I could be pregnant, but I was NEVER this late before.
so now I'm upset that my cycle is suddenly out of whack and I will be messed up in the future, when i was pretty regular before.
I have no idea why AF was so late...
thanks girls for being so encouraging!

Re: How common are false positives?
I didn't take it yet!! sorry! I'm actually afraid to test... in case it's either negative or I'm paranoid it will be wrong!
AF is a week late and I'm not sure what to do... I'm just being a chicken.
thank you girls!

Re: How common are false positives?
It's much much easier to get a false negative than a false positive. A false positive usually can only happen if you're taking outside hormones.
It sounds like you're pregnant to me... don't be afraid!!!! Wishing you lots of luck!!!

Re: How common are false positives?
I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning to test (this is what I keep telling myself) because that's when it's strongest right?
thank you girls - I'm pretty freaked out right now, but will keep you posted.

Re: How common are false positives?
Good luck with testing!! From what I hear, yes it's strongest in the morning but once you're late - usually doesn't matter as much - it's more for the early on ones that it matters. . but might as well wait for the morning at this point but it SURE SOUNDS GOOD!!!

its only better to test with first morning urine if AF isnt late yet, once AF is late you can test at anytime.

Re: How common are false positives?
I keep testing just because i want to make sure the line gets darker, b/c I had had a previous CP.
You can buy tests at Bed Bath and Beyond of all places. (I guess that's yet another thing that fits into the "beyond" category) I just bought ClearBlue test there last weekend - 4 for $14. I thought that was a great deal.
