How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
I think maybe he is going to get a tooth.....
DS has been acting not like himself. A lot of drool and things in his mouth. Last night cried a lot and was nasal. This morning better mood. I am just not sure. DS will be 6 months next week.
What was your DC like right before the first tooth broke thru?

DD is a beast at night when she has a tooth coming through. The first time around, God was punishing me for some indescetion I'm sure, because we had the first FOUR come in at once.
In fact, yesterday I noticed she may be getting another and last night she was up at 1am crying. I gave her some teething tablets and she was OK.

Re: How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
One just broke through last week, and he was drooling a lot and chomping on anything he could, but he had been doing that for a couple months so I didn't think much of it.
He did get clingy in the evenings though and started having trouble going to sleep at night. Previously, he just fell asleep on his own right around 9 each night. Right before the tooth, he started crying more and had trouble sleeping. Unfortunately, this has lingered!

Crankier in general and woke up a few times a night, even though he had been sleeping through 10-11 hours before that.

This is EXACTLY what is going on with DD. She is chomping on EVERYTHING she can get her hands on. She is having trouble falling asleep at night now and for the past 2 nights, has been waking up crying every 2-3 hours. It's SO unlike her! She is going to be 6 months old next week...

Re: How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
DD was drooling and eating everything and had rosey cheeks and was spitting up more...honestly i thought nothing of it really...figured she could be like that for months...
she had started playing strange with ppl which we just thought was her age (4.5 months-5.5 months) she was fussy in the bath tub one night and i saw that her tooth had broken through! really had no idea it was coming that soon! she now has both bottom front teeth broken through and dosent play strange anymore, no more rosey cheeks either.
she has been a dream with teething!

Re: How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
DD was almost 8 months before her first tooth finally cut through her gums. While she was not the drooler most babies can be, she was in lots of pain and wanted everything she could munch on - and hard!
The baby orajel did nothing for her, but the teething tablets seemed to relieve a bit of her pain. I keep a couple of wet washcloths on hand to freeze and she will chomp on them. But I need more than one available at a time.

Re: How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
Her first tooth was at 8.5 months and I didn't notice any changes in her at all. No sleep issues, no extra drooling, no crankieness.
She now has 3 about to break through. She woke up at 12:30 am last night crying. She almost NEVER wakes up at night. It may have been teeth it may have been gas because she farted for a little while and then went back to sleep.

Re: How did DC act when 1st tooth broke thru?
He seemed like he had a cold - that was the major sign. As soon as the tooth was through - it was magically gone. Same story with his top teeth. Oh, and he was knawing on everything in sight but, unfortunately he ALWAYS does that Oh and, he was up all night when it actually cut through but, unfortunately, he does that alot too
