How did you choose your child's mattress? (for twin/full bed)
I am hoping to convert DS's crib to a full-size bed in the next week or so and need to get him a mattress. How do you know what to get? I know it should be on the firmer side, but im also reading all these things about getting one that is "green" and "organic" bc the chemicals can be unsafe for them...
I was hoping to just order something online , but i dont know what i should be looking for?? Any tips/suggestions??

When we bought ds the salesman told us to find one that we thought was comfortable bc chances are that at some point we would be sleeping in it!

We got ours at Sleepy's. We had DS lay on a few (as did we) and picked one...
I'm not sure how I would order one online, I know you are bedrest, so going to a store would be tough

You could always call 1800 mattress and tell them you are shopping for a kids mattress and they should be able to help you. In my opinion a mattress that is not too firm is the way to go but then again my kids seem to like my bed the best with a pillow top so maybe they are biased!!

Cheapest one....
DS was 6 when we got his full mattress. He can still sleep anywhere, including the floor, so I figured why spend tons of money on a mattress when he's just as happy in a sleeping bad in his sister's room (they have "sleepovers" sometimes). When we get his next bed when he's a tween or so, we'll let him decide what type of bed he wants.
