How did you tell your DH and Family you were pregnant?

My cousin is PG and told me before she told her DH and wanted a good idea to surprise her family and her DH. just wanted to know if any of you had any good stories or ideas to share with me so i can pass it along to my cousin. TIA!

With my dad, I got him a little photo album for grandparents and put the sonogram picture in there. With my grandma, I told her I had a really cute picture to show her and then I showed her the sonogram pic. Everyone else in my family found out from the two of them.

I got really cute magnets from Baby Fortunoff's that say (Surprise!) and you insert the sonogram picture, I gave one to my parents and one to my in-laws...they loved it.

Nothing exciting here - as soon as I got my BFP we were on the horn with our parents. I couldn't it a secret!

i showed my parents the test stick about 2 minutes after I took it. Called my siblings. With my friends, I had my husband take a picture of us and he said, 1,2,3...say Meg's pregnant! It was great!

Well, with DH I didn't even have to tell. He just knew from the look on my face.

For our parents, we got them together for another occasion, and than they toasted to us having a healthy family one day. Than we said, "speaking of which, a dr. gave us a picture" and we showed them the sono. They were shocked!

Hmmm, showed my sister the test, gave both grandma's to be a picture frame w/ sono picture on Mother's Day, gave one of my brothers a b-day card to "my favorite uncle" and signed it from the baby, and I think everyone else we just told or they were told by someone else.

DH I just showed him the BFP.
My mom (I have a 2yr old sister) so I took my little sister's diaper and wrote a note inside saying..."You'll be changing a lot more of these. Can't wait to meet you Grandma."---She was sooo shocked.
The rest of the family we had a bbq celebrating DH birthday and my graduation and before we cut the cake the whole family was gathered around and I said "We have an announcement--We're having a baby!". Everyone was so excited it was great!

Eta: My Dh was on call, so I told him with a pix message of the positive tests (all 5 of them)

When we go to the dr and get the ok I am making a card to give to family:

I do not know when you will be able to hug and kiss me,
but according to my parents and doctor,

I should be able to see you around _______, 2008.

Right now I am growing big and strong,
for that big day to arrive!

I told them on Father's Day. I knew two weeks before, so it was torture not to tell my parents or sisters.

We took my dad out for father's day and gave him a card. I told him that his real gift wouldn't be here until Febuary and he didn't get it. My mom and sister did right away and then he understood. The looks on everyone's faces was priceless.

My parents and my Bro and SIL had me telling my 2.5 y/o neice to tell me that she wants a little cousin. So we had her tell them she was going to be a big cousin. It took her a couple times to get it out because she speaks so softly when she is unsure, but by the 3rd time she had to do it, she yelled it. it was great.

My DH was with me when I tested so he knew. A few weeks later we were having a big family dinner with my family and the baby is due a day before my mom's birthday. I told my mom that I knew what I was going to give her for her birthday already this year. And she said what it is 7 months away, I said your fifth grandchild (each of my sisters have two). My whole family paused as they were absorbing what we said. They were really excited. DH's family lives in NY and we live down south. We called his parent's and told them to plan a visit in Feb and then we told them why.

i called dh into the bathroom to check out the test, then he called his mom and dad - i wanted to wait for the dr.'s ok before i told my family - we called everyone else after our dr. appt
