How do I find good prices for airfare?
Are there promo codes out there? How do you find out about good deals? I want to fly a family of 5 out to Florida during school break in Feb 18-26. The cheapest I found was $1600 on expedia from LGA to PBI.

I was a TA for 10 years... that price for travel during President's week is GOOD! I've had clients spend 400 per person to go to Florida during that time... Fares are crazy.
You won't get many discounts at that time, as it's a prime travel time....
If its still available.. I'd say book it!!

I know. Im a teacher. EVERY time I have off the fares are higher
Last year I went and paid for only 3 seats and had my daughter on my lap and I paid $2k. But I decided like the day before to go after all our snow LOL

That sounds like a good price but you can also check out kayak.com.
It's like the search engine for search engines - it'll pull in fares from all sorts of websites.
That's how I found the lowest price to Florida last year same time.

Look on kayak.com. You can select different websites to compare prices.

Sounds good to me as well... I booked a flight on Orbitz recently, what I liked is their "price assurance" program so if someone else books the same flight for cheaper they'll refund you the difference.

Re: How do I find good prices for airfare?
Def use kayak.com... also you may want to try "flight hacking"... fancy term used for booking 2 ONE way tickets instead of a round trip ticket... SOMETIMES you can get slightly lower prices that way... but it takes a lot of clicking back and forth.

We only book air through Disney but whenever I give that info in a quote to a client, I always check kayak.com as well to so I can compare what Disney's given me with what the general consumer can find and let the client know my findings.

bing.com/travel is a good fare predictor. It will predict if the prices for your dates will go up or down.
