How do I get sterile tape off her face?
Chloe had the oxygen nasal cannula taped on...now she has that awful black tape "gummy" residue all over her face.
I cant use alcohol on her face?
Thery tried to use some surgical tape remover but it didnt get it off?
I tried baby oil..no luck?
Anyone have any advice?

Try vaseline and leave it on for a while-you coudl also try olive oil

I had a lot of tape on me after my csection - the nurses suggested those small alcohol rubs that you can buy in places like CVS (those individual little prewrapped squares) it took it right off. Since you said the baby oil didn't work.

They topld me I cannot use them on her face b/c she can inhale the alcohol fumes and make her respitory problems worse.

We used mineral oil on a swab. It had to sit on for a little bit but it worked.

let baby oil sit on it for a little while......it worked on leah when she came home as a newborn

what about baby lotion, maybe? or let the baby oil (or vaseline) sit on it for a while, then try to rub it off.... do that a few times?
Warm soapy water, too... but since its on her face, it would be hard to get the to sit on it for a while (at least the lotion or oil can sit for a bit).

What about wetting it in the bath. It should peel off easily then.

The vaseline worked!  Left it on for a few hours, and it was easy to wipe off!
