How do I get through this day?
The m/s is bad today. Really, really bad. So bad I couldn't muster the strength to take the train this morning, and am shelling out the $20 bucks to drive into work and park in a lot.
Problem is... we have our holiday party today... ON A SHIP. The spirit of philadelphia.
Normally I'm FINE on boats, but as queasy as I am already, I am really fearful about how I'm going to handle the boat, the smells, the noise, everything.
Should I just skip out? Would it be insane to try to go?

First,  for the way you're feeling.
Honestly, I've been feeling very similar and I probably wouldn't go. With all the wacky weather lately, I would be worried about a lot of rocking. I wouldn't chance it because once you're on, you can't get off, right? I'm sorry that this is a choice you have to make!

Honestly, I've been feeling very similar and I probably wouldn't go. With all the wacky weather lately, I would be worried about a lot of rocking. I wouldn't chance it because once you're on, you can't get off, right? I'm sorry that this is a choice you have to make!
Yeah... it tours down the river, so if I start puking, I'm stuck. Though I never puked in my last PG, and I haven't puked yet, I'm just really, really queasy.

I'm sorry beth your feeling yucky! I've been feeling like that to now for 2 days and I wouldn't go. I wouldn't want to chance feeling really horrible and not being able to get off. I say sit this one out.

I never got sick, but I got VERY Queasy with my pregnancy.. and when I did, all I wanted was my bed and my pillow.. I wouldnt go... but its hard, because I didnt tell people until a bit later.. so I had to come up with some crazy excuses... good luck! hope you feel better too!!!

I know how you are feeling, I have been miserable the last three weeks. If I were in your position I probably wouldnt go. I have already had to skip several parties and get togethers, and am thinking that I may have to skip my work christmas party this year....and mines on land lol.. Good luck with what you decide!

I would skip it-- you are allowed to not feel welll for any reason... And because your party is tonight, you'll probably get to leave work earlier than normal anyway.

sorry your feeling bad today! It's not easy to deal with traveling of any kind with nausea...For me anyway! I would personally skip out. I am sure your boss and co-workers would understand and what happens if you get all the way out on the ship and cannot stand it...Would be worse to have to dock early LOL that would be embarrassing maybe see how you feel a little later on in the day....hopefully the little bean in your belly will let you enjoy your party

oh
I know when I am having one of those days I can't take even being at work never mind a boat. I would just want to be home on the couch. But see how you feel later..maybe you will perk up a bit towards the end of the day.

Sometimes I think not puking is worse because you don't get any kind of relief.
Is it awful if you skip out on the party?
For me sipping on ginger ale or coke helped and lemon drops, lots and lots of lemon drops. I couldn't let my mouth get dry at all.
