How do I take birth control pills?
I just got my first prescription of birth control pills (I'm 6 weeks post delivering DS) Dr. recommended I go on them to prevent another pregnancy and to treat my endo and major cramps that I would get.
I picked them up today and I'm sooo confused. I can't remember what the dr said about taking them on what day I think she said the 6th day of my period, does that make sense???
I'm going to use Tri Sprintec 28 pack. Does it matter what day I start? The pack says starts with sunday or do I start on a certain # of days??

I used to take my BCP on the 1st Sunday after AF showed up.
I think you should call the pharmacy. They will tell you how to do it according to your BCP.

You can start any day from the day your period starts to one week later. It doesn't have to be the first day or the Sunday after.
You really should call the pharmacy or your doctor to be sure, though -- or carefully read the package insert.
