How do the shoes at Children's Place run?

OMG, I've never been to the one in Smith Haven Mall until today. I never realized they had an entire shoe store. I wanted to buy Roman sneakers for the summer but wasn't sure if I should get a 7 (what he has been wearing and still has room) or an 8. I didn't see 1/2 sizes. What do you think?

My kids both have had some cute shoes from CP, but I think that, like their clothes, they tend to run on the smaller side. I would get the bigger size, especially if your planning to get a summer out of them.
