how do u fit in 3 meals for your baby?!
ds is nursed 5 x a day and gets solids 2 times. our schedule revolves around his eating a napping and i can't seem to figure out how do squeeze another meal in.
he "sleeps" from about 10:30pm-9am
530am- nurse 9-930- wake up 10-solids and he'll maybe take 1 oz. formula 12- nurse then naps for 2 hours 4- nurse 6-solids and maybe 1 oz. formula 8- nurse 10-nurse & bed
if i squeeze in another meal at 2pm then he is literally eating EVERY 2 hours from 10am to 10pm! that's nutty! i wanted to cut out a nursing session but most people on here said not to.
what should i do?

I would do your 1st solids earlier...like about 8. Then you'll be able to fit in an afternoon feed around noon-12:30, then dinner at about 6:00
For DD - wake 6-7:30 Nurse 8 solids nurse nap (1-1.5 hrs) nurse 12-12:30 lunch nurse nap (1/2-1 hour) nurse 5:30-6 feed bath book boob bed
(in round about time slots and nursing can get sporadic too )

Re: how do u fit in 3 meals for your baby?!
I didn't nurse DS but he did basically eat every 2 hours and it only happened like that because he would never drink his bottle after I fed him. So around 8 months I took out a bottle and he had 3 bottle and 3 meals. He was sleeping from 6pm-6am.
If you don't want to cut a nursing session what about giving your DS a small amount of solids at 4pm and then nurse or nurse first and then try feeding him. Or if you are worried about your supply (which I am worring about now and I haven't fully put DD on solids yet) is you give him solids at 4 but still pump just incase that schedule doesn't work out for you.

Re: how do u fit in 3 meals for your baby?!
We recently cut out a feeding... dd was drinking 5 bottles a day and I cut it to four instead. I really felt like she was constantly eating. Once I added in another cereal and fruit at lunch time she was full enough to make an easy transistion.

Re: how do u fit in 3 meals for your baby?!
At almost 9 months here is DC's schedule:
6 am- 6 oz bottle 7 am- breakfast- cereal and fruit 8 am- nap approx 1 1/2 hours 9:30- 6 oz bottle 11:30- lunch- yogurt and veg 12:00- nap 1:30-2 wake and 6 oz bottle 4:30- dinner 5:00- baths 5:30 6 oz bottle 5:45 stories 6:00 bed
If I get out it's btwn the 9:30 bottle and the 12 nap.
I "feed and go". While they nap, I double check the diaper bag (pack their lunch in a "stay cold" lunch sack with a freezer pack), load it in the car with anything else I need and lay out their fleeces. I give both the bottle simultaneously, change both diapers (I'm really fast ) put their fleeces on, run one out to the car, lock car, run back in get the other and we are off. I can feed both, change diapers, dress for cold and put them in the car in about 15-20 minutes.
So that allows me from 9:50-12 to go where I have to go.
I just know that I have from 9:50-11:20 or so to get where I want to go and do what I need to do. Then I feed them (11:30) and we must be back in the car before noon. They fall asleep, I drive home. Run one into the house and up to the crib (I'm fast, maybe a minute), then the other.
I found that with the three meal a day schedule I need to do a meal out and about ot I can't get out.
For bigger errands, I wait until DH gets home at night and DC's are in bed. I don't have room in the car to pick up much btwn the two of them and the double stroller taking up most of the trunk.
Your opportunity might be later in the afternoon as your schedule runs 4 hours later than ours.

Re: how do u fit in 3 meals for your baby?!
With your schedule I'd do the lunch at noon either instead of nursing or along with it. We were on formula by then so we were doing 3 meals and 3 bottles staggered by alternating.
