How do you clean your jewelry?

I'd like to find home remedies instead of spending money on some kind of specific jewelry cleaner. But I will if I have to.

There is this liquid gel that comes in a red container that is sold at jewelry counters, Target, Walmart, etc and I use that and it lasts a LONG time.

I have one of those jewelry cleaners but in a rush I will take a toothbrush (not the same one I use for me teeth!) Chat Icon and I just take some windex and warm water and gently clean them.

Re: How do you clean your jewelry?

I have a jeweler cleaner...kind of like the sonic one from sharper image but a lot cheaper. Works great!

But some dish soap in warm water does the trick. Let it soak and then rinse.

I have that ionic thing, which rocks but here is what I do gramma-style:

I micowave a mug of water until its almost boiling
then I add dishwashwer detergent, stirr and drop in the rings.

let it sit for about 1-2 min

FABULOUS

I bought this $3 cleaner, it's a red tub and they sell it at Bed Bath & Beyond. it cleans my diamond jewelry beautifully! you can get that stuff anywhere (Target, Walmart, etc)

for home remedy I hear that Windex or ammonia does the trick on diamonds.

I've done both (but the clear Windex) and both cleaned my diamonds well. However I use rubbing alcohol and it works fantastic. Very clear and sparkly.

I let them soak in the alcohol, then brush them gently and then rinse in hot water.

I used to use Amonia and that worked great. I got the sonic clean for Christmas from Frontgate and it does seem to clean my jewelry better.

Ammonia & hot water.

If you look at the ingredients of MOST jewelry cleaners...it's ammonia.

I use toothpaste and lightly scrub my jewlery with it on a toothbrush. It makes diamonds really clean!
