How do you clear the driveway of snow?

With winter fast approaching... I was just wondering how you/SO clear the driveway.

I have a non-hydraulic plow on my pickup. It's just a heavy piece of metal with a rubber bottom that goes on a bracket. I remote start the truck, put the plow on (if I'm smart, I do it the night before), then drive around the circular driveway a few times in the toasty warm truck....

I'd love to get a heated driveway, but can't justify tearing up a perfectly good driveway just to put the heating elements in there.

DH shovels.
sometimes the boys that live next door help us out.

It depends on how deep it is. We have a 6 car driveway.

If it's only an inch or two - we'll just push it with a shovel. Anything more, its the snowblower shovel combo.

We have a winter service contract with our landscaping company. They plow the driveway and shovel the walkway.

Depending how deep the snow is..if it's little, then DH shovels, if it's a lot, snowblower!

We were just talking about this the other day, me and DH usually shovel or my neighbor snowblows us out. We are going to buy a snowblower this year.

One word - maintenance! Definitely will be missing that when we eventually move

Well, we have this humoungous long and very steep driveway, so we either use the snowblower, or wait for some kids to come knocking on the door. DH usually opts for the latter

little or Big i shovel it by hand, I dont mind it.

We have a horribly steep driveway, I bought DH a snowblower last year.

DH shovels...but he wants to get a snowblower this year.

It's called a Rusty.

And it knows enough to do it without complaint.

We usually do it by hand but sometimes our neighbors offers to do it with her plow.

I got my DH a snowblower a few years ago, so he has no excuse not to clear the driveway.

Before that, he used to drive his truck back and forth over the snow repeatedly so that it was matted down. That was his version of shoveling

we got a plow attachment for our quad. Fun AND easy!

We have always strategically parked the cars so we only have to shovel the walk. My BIL who used to live next door to us came up with the plan to avoid being plowed in.

It only took one time of ignoring his advice to make me a believer.

We have a snow blower and a plow on the ride on mower.
