How do you cut....
your dc toenails??
If we try to do it when he is sleeping, he moves his feet and wakes up!! Help.

We sit Lily on her daddy's lap and let her watch YouTube videos while I sit on the floor and cut her toenails. Pain in the butt!!

I was like "oohh she bites them"...I am NOT a feet person, so, I was like 
He's too cute!!
I cut DS' nails right after his bath. The nails are nice and soft. I just sit him on the counter (feet in sink)...When done clean the sink out w/bathroom cleaner.
I just hold his foot at the ankle and give him a toy to play with or sing to him in my lovely singing voice! LOL

DD is weird..She LOVES getting her nails cut both on her hands and feet...she just sits there and looks at her daddy cutting them...yes, only daddy cuts them b/c mommy cut her finger badly once and has never touched them again

This is strange but ...I tell my DS a story and name his toes and they all get a haircut....Now he tells me ..."Mommy, ...Larry needs a trim "  Before I came up with that, he would giggle and pull away so bad every time ..Now he's so interested in hearing the story, it distacts him !

my DD is 10 months old and almost inmpossible to hold still long enough to get her nails... the best time i have found to do her toenails is when she is in the highchair... i

At 23 months DD is really good about it. I just sit her on my lap and cut them.
Her toes are ticklish, so she's a little more squirmy about them.
But I've mastered it at this point

I do it after DD's bath. She usually doesn't even notice, but when she's having a fussy day, I give her a toy to play with while she is laying on her changing table pad and that usually keeps her attention long enough. Maybe DH can do it while you feed him, or vice versa? GL

While he is sitting on my lap watching TV - there is no other way I could do it. I save the TV for times like this so it is still a novelty - he squrims a bit and laughs but I get it done at least

DS actually sits still for this too, same with his hands. But I do try to do them right before a nap or bedtime, so he's kind of calm anyway.
