How do you deal with co-workers who are just plain ol' nasty...
Typically I treat everyone the same. Greet them cordially if I pass them, try to engage in answering whatever shout out question they may have (knowing that the need help, etc.). Yet there are a few in my department who feel that they are above common courtesy; above being polite to their co-workers. No matter how much you try to be nice to them; they act as if you have the plague. Now I'm a big girl and realize that no everyone is going to like everyone, but is it so f'ing hard to say "Thank you" if you scream out a question and someone responds??? Some people need to get over themselves FAST!!

It's not always easy, but I keep to myself as much as possible, and just daydream of kicking in their donkey teeth.

I hate the lack of common courtesy more than anything else.
me: "X, you have a call on line 7"
her: "huh? uh...errr...who is it, i'm busy"
me: "it's xyz"
her: "huh? who? xyz? i don't know them. oh well. ok fine." (NOTE: NO THANK YOU. EVERRRR.) [into phone]: "XYZ! HIIIIII!!!!"

I work in a very small office and the environment is very quiet. There are only one or two women that I really talk to. The others seem very anti social.. I just try to stay to myself really, because there is so much drama even though the office is small.

I wish I knew... I have one that is just a misarable witch and unfortunatley, I cannot avoid dealing with her I just act nice when I have to and then curse her out when I hang up

I have one of those rude nasty people at my job and everyone feels the same about her. I give her back the same attitude she gives me.. i tried being the so called "bigger person" but shes just sooo nasty that i cant but help want to punch her square in the mouth.. so too keep myself from doing so, i just give her the same old nasty attitude she has right back to her.
