How do you deal with stress?
For the past week, DH and I have not been getting along I am the first to admit that I have a temper, pregnant or not, but the pregnancy hormones are making it sooo much worse. I get so upset with DH that I feel my body heat rising and my heart rate accelerate, and yesterday I felt like our fight brought on some cramps. I am 9 weeks and I feel like all of this is risking the baby's health. What do you to de-stress?

Re: How do you deal with stress?
taking a walk helps me....
I am removing myself from the situation, breathing, doing something good for my body and baby, and getting my thoughts in order....
Good Luck.

Re: How do you deal with stress?
I kindof know how you feel. I can have a temper too and early in the pregnancy I got into the worst argument with my DH. And he didn't even really fight back, he just took it. I went all out and said horrible, mean things. Afterwards, I realized that I went overboard and that it must be the hormones and I felt horrible. I just apologized repeatedly and thanked him for being so wonderful and not fighting back. It's happened twice more and I still feel guilty.
I have a hard time stopping myself once I get going. It has helped me to realize that it can't be good for the baby and to accept that maybe i am overreacting. Seeing him stay calm helps me realize that I'm being crazy.

Re: How do you deal with stress?
I leave... usually going for a walk...sometimes I'll bring Puppy...it helps cool me down, and it gives him his time to cool of as well so it doesn't turn into a screaming battle. I was pretty bad around 9 weeks as well... I calmbed down alot in the past 3 weeks... but I still see myself picking or yelling at him for the simplest thing. DH really takes alot from me...

Re: How do you deal with stress?
Depending on where the stress comes from I do one of 3 things...
shower/bath with music clean something lay down, close my eyes and listen to my ipod
i was crabby and the definition of a witch from week 8 to 12. I had read in one of the books that it was going to probably happen so I pre-warned DH.

I am exactly the same way... I also have a hard time stopping myself once I get going. Normally I am a little more in control, but lately it has been pretty bad. It must be the hormones... I am going to try to be more conscious of it. Easier said than done

Re: How do you deal with stress?
Listening to music that I love, watching a funny movie or tv show, yoga, a massage, playing with my pets, talking to a friend
Feel better!
